Nokia 808 PureView, New Technology

Nokia on February 27 at Mobile World Congress 2012 held in Barcelona, Spain, introducing innovations in the imaging of high-end smartphone with Nokia 808 PureView. This phone is the first smartphone using Nokia PureView imaging technology, which combines high-resolution sensor, Carl Zeiss lens and an algorithm developed exclusively by Nokia, which will support high-end imaging experience for a range of Nokia products in the future.


Has a large sensor with 41MP resolution, a Carl Zeiss lens is a high performance and new technologies for the oversampling of pixels. At standard resolution (2.3, 5 and 8 megapixel) technology allows the zoom without losing image quality and the ability to combine into a single pixel of seven pixels for the clearest image. In high resolution (up to 38 megapixels) use this technology allows images to be set as desired (zoom, reframe, crop, and resize). With low-light performance is widely used to and the ability to save images with small file size to be sent via email, MMS, and social networks, the Nokia 808 PureView allows anyone to take professional quality images in any situation.

In addition to imaging technology that images remain outstanding, the Nokia 808 PureView also has the ability to record and play 1080p HD video and 4X zoom with no loss of quality, and Rich Recording Nokia. Rich Recording allows recording audio with a quality equivalent to CD, which was only possible with an external microphone. Nokia 808 PureView also features Dolby Headphone technology exclusively, convert stereo content into surround sound experience through any headphones personal and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1.
